Autism

One percent of the world falls has autism spectrum disorder — over 120 million people — and one in every 59 children born in the United States are on the autism spectrum.¹ Over 3.5 million Americans have an autism spectrum disorder, and it is the fastest growing developmental disability.² Autism presents itself differently in every individuals, and as such, requires unique services and treatment for every case.³ Thirty five percent of young adults ages 19 to 23 with autism do not receive postsecondary education, or have employment.⁴ Adult services for those with autism cost $175-196 billion annually in the United States. However, this cost can be reduced by 66 percent through early intervention.⁵
