Buy The Change

Buy The Change was founded in 2011 by two friends in Michigan who have a passion for being of service to women around the world. The company partners with women artisans to bring their handmade products to the American market and offers customers the opportunity to have a direct impact in changing lives. For many talented artisans in the developing world, growing a products based business is extremely difficult. Buy The Change purchases products directly from artisans at prices above living wage which eliminates dependence on the tourism and local markets where earnings can be well below sustainable levels. All of our products including; jewelry, scarves, bags, blankets and soaps, are handmade and many are created from recycled materials. As a registered B Corp (Benefit Corporation) we are focused on social change over profit and being of benefit on every level from producers, to employees, to customers and planet. 10% of every sale is donated to our non profit foundation, the Buy The Change Foundation, which assists partner artisans in purchasing needed equipment through grants. 100% of remaining profits are used to purchase more products from more women around the world.
