Our Mission
Byrd's Foster Group Home, Inc. is a non-profit foster group home for emotionally/mentally challenged boys and girls ages 10-17. The home is licensed through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and is also Title IV-E approved. Byrd's also contracts with the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement to provide services for the children in need of behavioral modification and housing.
Who We Are
Byrd's Foster Group Home, Inc. was established January 2, 1982 and began to provide services for girls. It transitioned in 1988 to provide services for boys. In 2015, Byrd's began to provide services for both boys and girls. Those services include individual and group therapy, family therapy, Alcohol and Other Drugs counseling and education, Therapeutic Recreation, Pre-Independent living skills, life skills training, vocational services and educational services.
