Our Mission

City Rescue Mission (CRM) was founded in 1946 to help homeless men in the Jacksonville area. Since its inception, CRM has evolved into a recovery program helping needy men, women and children from multiple counties in Northeast Florida, through meeting the basic needs of the homeless to providing a long-term residential rehabilitation program that address life controlling issues (drugs, alcohol, etc.) and workforce development and educational programs. CRM provides services to the homeless and needy every day throughout the year. For more information or to take a tour, please contact David Clark at 904/421-5169 or dsclark@crmjax.org

Who We Are

We provide food & shelter to our homeless guests in a safe, caring environment. Guests have the opportunity to shower, enjoy a meal and leave with clean clothing. In 2014, we has provided 70,405 nights of safe shelter and served 209,510 meals. Case workers help our guests obtain medical and dental treatment, long-term housing assistance, government identification cards, veterans' services and counseling. The LifeBuilders addiction recovery program is designed to rebuild lives that have been broken by substance abuse and life-controlling issues. The program lasts 12 to 18 months. Our purpose is to support our students' healing through a holistic, grace-oriented program that addresses their long-term emotional, spiritual, medical, social and educational needs. Students are provided medical treatment and dental care. The program's success rate (6 months clean, sober and employed) is over 70% compared to a national average of 27%.
