Our Mission

We believe cooking is a life skill. Through our hands-on cooking programs and nutrition education, Common Threads provides a preventative health program solution in urban schools to children, families and teachers in underserved communities

Who We Are

Founded in Chicago in 2003, Common Threads now has programming in six major US cities and expansion plans for two more in the near future. Throughout the 2014-2015 school year and summer, we have created lasting and meaningful change in the lives of more than 40,000 low-income students.
