(CBS) is a not-for-profit organization that provides the highest level of individualized care for people with autism and developmental disabilities in home and community-based settings. Founded in 1981 by Kevin J. McCarthy, Community Based Services was among the first agencies to help serve and support the people of the Hudson Valley region. Who we support CBS has grown considerably since we first launched. Today, CBS: Operates 6 Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) and 3 Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs) Provides Community Habilitation and Respite services Offers a Day Habilitation without walls program Provides Medicaid Service Coordination Offers Prevocational services and supported work
