Our Mission

We are a scholarship granting organization that offers full education support to 360 students living in the Artibonite Valley, Haiti (60 miles north of Port-au-Prince). Students range from kindergarten to university bachelor degree study and technical school certificate study. The support includes full tuition payment (schools are not free in Haiti), uniforms, books, and exam fees. Without this support our students would not be able to attend school. We are in the process of building an Education Center that will support and work with the area schools by offering tutoring and teacher training.

Who We Are

The Crosby Fund was founded by Frederick and Rebecca Crosby in September 2014, who strongly believe that education needs to be a large component of nation building. After volunteering in Haiti for 5 years, witnessing the abject poverty of most Haitian families, and learning the fact that education is not free, the couple founded their scholarship granting organization. In 2004, they began with 34 high school students, one employee and a board of Haitian advisers, and today they offer scholarships to 360 and employ 6 Haitian employees. Students who are offered a scholarship may remain in the program if they maintain a 6.0 average in their report card. We have many students who have graduated with college degrees and are employed in the professional world. Individuals may sponsor students at the university and technical school level.
