Our Mission
Denver Inner City Parish ("The Parish") welcomes and empowers people in need through support, determination and community. We have been consistently renewing and enhancing lives since 1960.
Who We Are
The Denver Inner City Parish (The Parish) was established in 1960 to assist Denver's working-poor families in breaking the vicious cycle of poverty prevalent within their communities. The Parish is a human service nonprofit organization registered as a 501(c)(3) that offers 13 programs to over 25,000 people annually at 4 locations in the focus areas of education, hunger, economic development, and community enhancement. Fifty-five years after The Parish was founded, poverty remains a pervasive issue in Denver that affects an estimated 115,000 adults and children annually. The 2012, US Census Bureau Report states that 18% of Denver's population is living below the Federal Poverty Line, which for a family of four in 2012 was $23,050.
