Our Mission

Feeding Our Communities Partners (FOCP) is a nonprofit organization focused on ending hunger locally. The BackPack Food Program is an initiative of FOCP and provides weekend hunger relief for elementary school children in Blue Earth County and Mankato public schools.

Who We Are

Funded by grants and community donations, the BackPack Food Program provides a weekend's worth of kid-friendly, well-balanced meals in small bags. The bags are given to the students' teachers every Thursday to be discreetly placed into the child's backpack on Friday.
