Our Mission
Florence Crittenton Services is a Denver nonprofit that educates, prepares, and empowers teen mothers to become productive members of the community. Using a two-generation approach, the organization provides learning and development opportunities to pregnant and parenting girls and their children with three integrated programs—the Student and Family Support Program, the Early Childhood Education Center and Florence Crittenton High School.
Who We Are
While nationally only 38% of pregnant and parenting girls complete high school, Florence Crittenton Services achieved a 94.4% graduation rate in 2015. We provide social-emotional support and life skills training, parenting education, after-school tutoring, and financial literacy that make it possible for teen mothers to succeed, not only academically, but also as parents. Florence Crittenton Services' on-site, licensed, Colorado Shines-rated Early Childhood Education Center addresses the education and development needs of young children from six weeks old through Pre-K. In partnership with Denver Public Schools, Florence Crittenton Services celebrated the grand opening of the new and expanded Florence Crittenton Campus - which includes the first school-based health center in Colorado to offer obstetrics and pediatrics - in September 2015.
