Our Mission

Staffed by 34 employees and supported by 2,417 volunteers, the Food Bank for Larimer County distributed 8.9 million pounds of food in 2014 to low-income residents throughout Larimer County. Since opening in 1984, the Food Bank has distributed more than 100,000,000 pounds of food. The Food Bank is the only Feeding America clearinghouse for donated food in Larimer County, Colorado. Feeding America is the nationâ€™s largest food bank and food rescue network.

Who We Are

At the Food Bank, we believe that no one should go hungry. To that end, we provide food to about 36,000 people in need each year through our programs and partner agencies. Some of our clients are seniors, some are single parents, some are homeless, some have disabilities. Over half have jobs but still can't make ends meet. That's why the Food Bank is here. Clients can choose free food at our Food Share pantries; children can eat healthy meals at Kids Cafe sites; and nonprofit agencies can access food for their programs. Thanks to our many volunteers and those who donate food and funds, we distribute enough food for over 7.4 million meals annually.
