FUTURE GENERATION INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS INC
Ft Worth, Texas
Our Mission
FGIM exists to provide hope and inspiration for the future generation of orphaned children living in Haiti by providing food, clothes, shelter, education and healthcare to the disadvantaged little girls living in the streets of Port-au-Prince.
Who We Are
FGIM is a nonprofit organization that serves the people of Haiti through a number of ministries. The organization was officially established on February 5, 2009. Prior to 2009, Pierre and Lorphine organized several humanitarian aid missions across the island. Following the 2010 earthquake, they noticed an increase in the number of orphans living on the streets. God impressed upon them the need to open an orphanage, and in 2012, Faith House, an all-girls orphanage, opened its doors. Today, Faith House is home to 30 girls ranging in age from 5 to 15.
In 2014, FGIM launched New Perspectives Preparatory Academy, which provides a high quality education to the girls living at Faith House, as well as children from the local community. New Perspectives Preparatory Academy offers a Christian-based general education, as well as English language and life skills courses to include computer science, sewing, knitting and embroidery, jewelry-making, agriculture and cooking.
In 2015, Pierre and Lorphine moved with their three children to Jacmel, Haiti, to operate the orphanage and school on a full-time basis. Within six months, they planted a local a church in their community. New Perspectives Church of Jacmel offers weekly services, youth outreach, music classes and choir. Additionally, the church provides English-as-a-second-language courses.
FGIM also offers service opportunities for individuals and churches interested in assisting the Haitian people and its ministries through short-term missions. Accommodations are provided through the FGIM Guest House.
