Girls on the Run educates & prepares young girls for a lifetime of self-respect & healthy living. We strive to touch the lives of every Montgomery County, MD girl regardless of their familiesâ€™ economic status.

Who We Are

Girls on the Run of Montgomery County is an independent chapter of the Girls on the Run InternationalÂ® Organization. The after school program for 3rd through 8th grade girls promotes healthy choices and inspires physical activity. Girls meet twice each week for 9-10 weeks at their chosen location. The weekly lessons prepare the girls physically for a 5k (3.1 mile) running race, and mentally for various life issues pre-teen girls typically face.
