Hays County Area Food Bank

Our service area covers Hays County and outlying communities that fall within the boundaries of the San Marcos and Hays Consolidated Independent School Districts. In addition to holding public food distributions four days per week, we also provide food to partner agencies for distribution to their own clients. Our partner agencies include the Hays-Caldwell Women's Center, the Crisis Bread Basket in Wimberley, the Buda United Methodist Church food pantry, and Southside Community Center. Beyond our regular services, we distribute meal holiday boxes every November. These boxes include a frozen meat and all the traditional trimmings needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal at home.
