Indiana Council on Problem Gambling

Indianapolis, Indiana

Our Mission

The ICPG works with all of the groups involved with gambling in Indiana. These include those State government entities involved with gambling including the State Legislature, Gamblers Anonymous, Gam-Anon, problem gambling treatment providers and all of the businesses providing legal gambling in Indiana. The ICPG works to ensure that state funded quality treatment for problem gambling exists and to ensure that those providing treatment are among the best trained therapists in the country by providing approximately 30 hours of training each year by the best presenters in North America. We offer help for gambling problems 24/7. This help includes direct referral to individuals and organizations involved with assisting problem gamblers and their family members and friends. Our other activities focus on raising the awareness of the issue of problem gambling in Indiana. The ICPG works with our sister organizations in the surrounding seven states via the Midcentral Alliance on Problem Gambling which the ICPG founded. This organization exists to share resources via joint activities so as to leverage our collective knowledge and other resources.

Who We Are

The ICPG was founded in 1996 by a group of individuals and organizations whose goal was to ensure that help was available for problem gamblers and their families/friends at a time of increasing legalized gambling in Indiana. The ICPG is funded by annual membership support and is a federal 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization.
