Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greene Co., Schneider House of Hope (IHN)

We are a homeless shelter for families with children. Our facility consists of 10 rooms in an refurbished hotel where we can house our families for up to 60 days while awaiting help through our local housing and support agencies. Any time we are at capacity our clientele is around 60% children. We are funded strictly through the united effort of donors from Churches, businesses, individuals and civic groups with philanthropic interests. We also have a strong force of volunteer help that compliments our small staff in caring for our clients and our facility. We are mainly encouragers and case advisors for our clients often assisting them to seek the correct agencies and benevolent groups to get the help they need to secure housing for their family and offering support and references to assist in finding employment. We offer classes for our clients to assist them in maintaining their home, parenting skills, finding and keeping a job, finding homes to rent and keeping their job and home once they have them.
