Our Mission

Nature is the gold standard from which we deliver solutions to our most pressing environmental crises, and lead people to their most authentic of paths: preserving and supporting human and planetary health. We bring together thought leaders, decision makers, educators, and the myriad of narrowly specialized concepts that are otherwise taught only in isolation, with the common crucial goal of helping create a healthy, just, sustainable, and peaceful world. And we believe our vision can make a meaningful contribution to the ever more fertile global hub of ingenuity, innovation, and fact-based transformations.

Who We Are

The International Institute for Building-BiologyÂ® & Ecology (IBE) is working to create a global village of awareness of the vital interconnectedness among the built environment, human health, and planetary ecology. We provide science-based training programs and professional certification tracks that prepare both the general public and health and environmental professionals to meet the urgent fundamental need to design and build sustainable living and working spaces that support human health, with Nature as the one and ultimate guide. We accomplish this through our seminars, our mentored correspondence course, our online self-study courses, our biennial conferences, and our broad social media presence online. Our goal is a global village of healthy homes, schools, and workplaces, free of toxins in the indoor air and tapwater, and electromagnetic pollutants.
