INTERVOL

InterVol is a nonprofit dedicated to connecting the world's neediest to materials, people, and opportunities. Founded in 1989, InterVol has given different generations within the Rochester community, the opportunity to work side-by-side through various grassroots programs, in the spirit of volunteerism. At the core of the organization, is the drive to create a bridge between global communities, in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, while providing better access to health care for those who so desperately need it (including animals!) By recovering and redistributing medical supplies and equipment that would have been tossed or incinerated at hospitals and clinics in Monroe, Ontario and Genesee counties, and through the provision of volunteer opportunities for medical professionals, veterinarians, and aspiring educators, InterVol is able to further its mission to engage health-focused humanitarian efforts worldwide. Each year, the world is touched by InterVol's mission, through the hearts and hands of its volunteers, which are crucial to helping us reach those in need; both animal and human!
