Our Mission
Our mission is to provide resources for health, education, spiritual outreach, and economic empowerment for the benefit of the Batwa pygmies and adjacent communities.
Who We Are
Our Christian organization supports practical, sustainable programs to fight the root causes of extreme poverty and poor health in Kanungu District, southwest Uganda, near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We focus on three major program areas:
1. Community programs to assist the displaced indigenous Batwa pygmies -- education, agriculture, home-building, spiritual development, cultural preservation, and indigenous rights.
2. Health outreach to over 120,000 citizens in the region through Bwindi Community Hospital and its outlying clinics and community health programs.
3. Advanced-level nursing education through Uganda Nursing School Bwindi, developing compassionate nursing personnel with excellent skills to improve healthcare throughout Uganda, especially in underserved areas.
