Our Mission

We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Horse Rescue located in Central Kentucky. We rescue horses who are surrendered to us, then work to rehabilitate and retrain them in order to place them in their forever adoptive homes.

Who We Are

The KyEHC was established in 2008 by a passionate group of equine advocates who noticed there was a problem with unwanted, neglected and abused horses in the Horse Capital of the World. This group worked to found the KyEHC, a very unique equine rescue. What sets the KyEHC apart is our ability to take horses of all-breeds, ages, shapes, sizes and conditions. We have a dedicated staff who work with only the best farriers, veterinarians, and other professionals to provide the best care and training for the equines who are temporarily residing at the Center while waiting on their forever, adoptive homes.
