Our Mission

Maineâ€™s network of Agencies on Aging is the leading source of information for thousands of Maine seniors on aging, healthy living and benefits. Programs and outreach support services are designed to improve the physical, social and emotional well-being of older adults and to reduce the burden on families and caregivers.

Who We Are

M4A provides leadership in supporting the network of area agencies by: Advocating on behalf of older persons and issues affecting them; Working proactively to educate and inform the Maine legislature and U.S. Congress on specific legislative and budget issues affecting Maine's elders, especially low-income elders; Supporting social and economic policies and resources that promote independence, dignity and economic self-sufficiency for generations of Maine's elders, and; Working with state and local partners in achieving these goals
