Our Mission
We create programs and opportunities for millennials, helping them cultivate a heart of service, make sense of individual purpose, and turn what they love into what they do.
Who We Are
The Medici family, also known as the House of Medici, first attained wealth and political power in Florence in the 13th century through its success in commerce and banking. Beginning in the 1430's and reaching into the 1700's, the family's support of the humanities and the arts began to make the city of Florence, Italy the birthplace of the Renaissance. Through commissioning artists and scientists like Michelangelo, Leonardo De Vinci, Galileo, and producing four popes, the Medici's influence on the world can be felt even today; as evidenced by having the word “medicine†derived from their family name.
Our hope with the Medici Project is to see a new people influence culture for the better. We believe if one family can influence culture for the proceeding 500 years of their lineage, why can't a whole generation? In the 21st century, millennials now are the largest and most influential generation in the world, and are made up of 2.3 billion people.
We desire to help leverage millennials skills and passions by engaging them in service learning programs and urban mission trips within the urban contexts of Atlanta, GA, Nashville TN, and New York, NY. From working in homeless shelters to school tutoring programs, meal preparation for homebound elderly and medical missions, we want students to connect service with future vocations they are pursuing, leveraging their skill sets and passions to serve others.
We are currently working with state universities, liberal arts colleges, as well as local churches to inspire and equip others to serve in order to create culture for the common good.
