Who We Are

Minds Matter began in 1991 when a group of Wall Street professionals got together to mentor and tutor inner-city high school students, as well as assist them with applications to competitive preparatory schools. Now, 24 years later, Minds Matter has chapters in 12 different cities from coast to coast: Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Twin Cities, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C. Minds Matter Nationalâ€“the only branch of the organization that does not directly work with studentsâ€“provides overseeing support for each Minds Matter chapter.
