Neuropathy Alliance of Texas

Austin, Texas

Our Mission

In 2009 Nancy Herlin and Marjory Haddix met and shared their experiences of caring for a family member with CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy). After realizing how comforting it was to talk with someone who had been through similar experiences, the two decided to start an organization for people in the Austin area affected by neuropathy in order to share information and provide support in the journey with neuropathy. The two found others interested in achieving the same goals and who wanted and needed those goals to be met.

Who We Are

Our vision is that all those in Texas afflicted with or affected by peripheral neuropathy receive the support and education they need to more effectively handle neuropathy. There is an increased level of awareness about neuropathy and early diagnosis and treatment. We will work together with national and local health care organizations to ensure that people with a peripheral neuropathy and their caregivers in Texas have the latest information on treatments and research into cures. We will promote research that seeks a cure for peripheral neuropathy. This community will provide persons affected by a peripheral neuropathy emotional support and unconditional love.
