New Friends New Life

New Friends New Life was started in 1998 by a women's committee from a Dallas area church that began helping a woman who was looking to get out of exotic dancing. The committee offered financial assistance and access to other services. As a result, more and more women who wanted to leave sex trafficking began to seek services. New Friends New Life now offers a comprehensive program to more than 1,200 formerly trafficked teens, women and their children each year. These services and resources are geared toward restoration and empowerment and include: - Counseling and support groups - Children's Academic Program and mentoring - Financial assistance and budget coaching - Life-skills and parenting training - Education and Second Chance Jobs programs - Spiritual support ADVOCACY Human trafficking is a worldwide epidemic including forced labor, sexual exploitation, slavery, and servitude. Texas ranks 2nd in the country for the most human trafficking, and in Dallas, there are an estimated 400 trafficked teens on the streets each night. New Friends New Life believes this is a community-wide issue and advocates for the victims of sex trafficking by: - Driving state and national legislation - Establishing partner groups to raise awareness and encourage volunteerism, including its Circle of Friends board and Men's Advocacy Group - Partnering with other organizations and businesses - To learn more or to join the mission of helping teen girls and women restore from sex trafficking or exploitation and build new lives for themselves and their children, please contact us.
