NEW HOPE CHILDREN'S HOME
Yorkville, New York
Our Mission
New Hope provides a long-term home for orphaned, abandoned and at-risk children in Arequipa, Peru.
Who We Are
New Hope was founded in 1995 in response to the number of children that were living and working on the streets of Arequipa, Peru. Children at New Hope are brought to us by local judges who oversee the care of orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk children. New Hope typically cares for 45-50 children who range from 1 year - 20 years of age (as we provide transitional care for older children).
New Hope is set up to provide family-style care, with children living in smaller groups of 8-10 children with houseparents who work exclusively with their group. We provide physical, emotional and spiritual care for the children, including healthcare, education, family therapy when possible, and opportunities for individual interests and activities to be pursued.
