NightLight International

Our Mission

NightLight International operates in Bangkok, Thailand, and has branches in Atlanta, Georgia and Springfield/Branson, Missouri, with an outreach post in Phoenix, Arizona. NightLight reaches out to domestic and international women who have been or are at risk of exploitation in the sex industry. NightLight seeks to address the needs of the women through job training, employment, counseling, education, medical services, child care, spiritual growth, emotional healing, and life skills training. International women can receive assistance through rescue, shelter, medical services, counseling, and repatriation.

Who We Are

NightLight began in 2005 in Bangkok, Thailand, to offer intervention to sexually exploited women and children, to enable them to discover their dignity, and to provide a program of holistic transformation, empowering them to live and work in their community. In Bangkok, NightLight operates with two branches: NightLight Design Co. Ltd, a business employing women who have left prostitution to create beautiful products of jewelry, silk-screen shirts, and sewing; and NightLight Foundation, which holistically addresses the complex issues through outreach programs, vocational training and employment opportunities, counseling, spiritual mentoring, and life skills training. The child care center helps break cycles of child abandonment, allowing women to be working mothers while their children are well cared for. The coffee shop is a ministry of presence in the red light area which reaches out to the demand side. NightLight Bangkok's counter-trafficking program seeks out international and domestic victims of trafficking and assists in rescue, shelter, and repatriation. Since 2005 NightLight Bangkok has made contact with thousands of women in the sex industry, employed over 160 women, assisted hundreds, and repatriated over 70 international victims of human trafficking. NightLight Bangkok also builds networks internationally to increase the support systems for women on their return. NightLight Bangkok has also planted a church that reaches out to families and their communities, building healthy families and bringing hope to these communities. NightLight Ministry, the 501c3 in the US, was started in 2006 in Los Angeles and now has branches in Atlanta, Georgia and Springfield/Branson, Missouri, as well as an outreach post in Phoenix, Arizona.
