NORTH GWINNETT COOPERATIVE INC

The North Gwinnett Cooperative was formed in 1991 as a ministry that provides food, clothing, financial assistance and spiritual support to those in need in the Buford, Suwanee, and Sugar Hill communities. Originally formed by Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in 1991, the ministry is now supported by additional congregations, area businesses, civic organizations, schools and individuals who generously donate food, clothing, and financial resources. In 2014 we: • Fed over 1,200 children during the summer meal program, •Provided new back packs filled with school supplies to over 500 children, •Gave free bread and bakery to 12,768 families, •Distributed 7,392 pieces of free clothing, •Had 482 new families apply for services, •Provided over 5,000 bags of food and 1,000 holiday meals, • Raised over $50,000 in our Thrift Store with your donations, and •Disbursed $136,713.27 in financial assistance to our clients.
