NORTHERN JAGUAR PROJECT

Tucson, Arizona

Our Mission

Protecting the world's northernmost jaguar population

Who We Are

NJP and our Mexican conservation partner Naturalia have established the 50,000-acre Northern Jaguar Reserve, which encompasses prime jaguar habitat just 125 miles south of the U.S.-Mexico border. Jaguars that roam this area, including female jaguars and their cubs, now have a safe-haven sanctuary in the most remarkable, rugged wilderness left in northern Mexico. NJP further works with ranchers, schools, and local communities to promote effective jaguar conservation.
