radKIDS national network of over 5000 community-based instructors actively teach children in 46 States and Canada. radKIDS has created a standard of excellence in providing personal empowerment, safety education and violence prevention programs for all children and their families. Endorsed by the National Sheriffs' Association, the radKIDS educational model is recognized as the national leader in safety education and violence prevention for children in the areas of Abduction, Bullying Prevention, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse. The radKIDS program is designed to increase children's ability to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations, violence and harm. Student who take the radKIDS Personal Empowerment Safety education program are provided with information, tools and skills to better help them to protect themselves when in danger. radKIDS centers on the development of self-esteem at every level of the educational process because children with self-confidence are more resilient and less likely to be victimized. radKIDS: • builds a child's self esteem • enhances a child's ability to avoid victimization (Bullying, Abuse, Abduction) • encourages communication between parents and children about personal safety • reduces the feelings of guilt and blame that often are associated with victimization • promotes disclosure of abuse and victimization • enhances and coordinate community response creating culture change • reinforces adult supervision and protection through child centered approach The radKIDS Personal Empowerment Safety Education program is the most effective program available to the children in your community. radKIDS will change children's thinking and behavior to help keep them safer. radKIDS replaces the fear, confusion and panic of dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills and self-esteem. A radKIDS mindset after the program is, "How dare you hurt me!" instead of "Help Me, Help Me" radKIDS can improve the knowledge, self-confidence, and assertiveness skills of children. In doing so:  They will be safer because they will be better able to recognize danger and resist potential predators with the goal of escaping then reporting, not hiding the encounter  They will be better able to deter many offenders who look for and prey on vulnerable children including adult predators or peer predatory behavior seen in Bullying.  They can break the "cycle of victimization" in which some of those who have been victimized later become offenders.
