Rafiki has established Rafiki Villages in ten African countries to help Africans know God and raise their standard of living with excellence and integrity. Rafiki has five programs (Bible Study, Childcare, Education, the Rafiki Advanced Learning Institute, and Widows). The goal of the ChildCare Program is to rescue children from physical death through medical care and nutrition, and to rescue them from spiritual darkness by teaching them to know God. The ChildCare Program provides a loving home to about 100 orphans in each Rafiki Village. Each Village has schools, dining facilities, an infirmary, a playing field, agricultural land, cottages, and residence halls. The Education Program seeks to cultivate minds and hearts that love God, their neighbor, and all that is true, good, and beautiful. Each Rafiki Village includes a school from pre-K through twelfth grade for the orphaned children who live at the Village and needy children from the surrounding communities. All are instructed with the Rafiki School Curriculum—a Christian classical curriculum written by the Foundation. Rafiki's curriculum integrates a biblical worldview into a traditional liberal arts core of arts, letters, sciences, and mathematics. For high school graduates and beyond, Rafiki is developing the Rafiki Advanced Learning Institute; a teacher training program designed to promote Christian classical education in Africa using Rafiki curriculum, including music and art training. The Widows Program gives African widows and impoverished women of the church a means of employment and artistic expression through the making of handcrafts. All programs incorporate the Rafiki Bible Study, an in-depth study of all 66 books of the Bible, written by noted theologians for Rafiki and the people of Africa.
