Ripple Effect 22 is a faith-based, youth-centered mentoring program, providing career focused, project-based mentorship that bridges the gap between uncertainty and discovering their God-given purpose.
Ripple Effect 22 does this work through hands-on projects, workshops, education counseling, and skills training, while promoting parental and guardian involvement. These programs will encourage youth and young adults to be the catalyst of change and growth in their communities.
Ripple Effect 22(RE22) is the premier program and youth center for todays youth. We help them to be, or to become, impactful men and women in whatever arena they are called to be apart of. It is a program in which professional adults can use their God given gifts, talents, and abilities to help mentor and nurture the youth of today so that they have access to opportunities, tools, and direction to cultivate their own gifts to become not just successful but significant members of society. Our goal is to impart direction, wisdom, skill, experience, responsibility, a safe haven, and faith values to youth. With these attributes, and opportunities provided for them through RE22 the obstacles and barriers once blocking them from their purpose, are now hurdles that can be overcome.
The Bay Area benefits from RE22 because through impact it has on each young individual’s life. There are so many children that are being raised in broken homes, with no support system and no direction for their life. This is partly due to deep seeded race, socioeconomic, and cultural issues, that have affected their families and their values. These kids are looking to their peers for help, and or advice. This creates corrupt cycle of unintended mentorship where the blind are leading the blind, and that never ends well.
But through Ripple Effect 22, “mentors” (people whom have a heart to bless others with their time and effort) can pour into these youth’s lives. Just enlightening the children to the fact that they are important, and they have a purpose will make a huge difference to someone whose eyes are now open to endless opportunities, and possibilities. This new perspective will be the ripple that will affect not just their lives but their sphere of influence as well.
Ripple Effect 22 will help the youth who are searching for something greater than just the status quo. We foster and encourage them to live out and pursue their call in life through a curriculum tailored to the individual’s passions, gifting, and skill set. Our goal is to help them work in their gifting, and use their gifting to walk out their purpose. After they have completed the program and achieved their goal of becoming established professionals in the arena they feel called to be in, we will encourage them to come back and give back, by mentoring another young person to do the same.
