ROMANIA ANIMAL RESCUE INC DBA ANIMAL SPAY NEUTER INTL

Romania Animal Rescue Inc was begun in 2003 to help the animals of Romania. In 2008 we began focusing primarily on spay/neuter to stop the endless flow of animals born to suffer. We began doing our spayathons in 2009, and since that time have spayed and neutered thousands in Romania. RAR has helped in over 50 cities, towns and villages in Romania, and our work continues to expand. In 2011 we started our international addition, Animal Spay Neuter International, thereby allowing our vets to help in many other countries such as Suriname, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Portugal, Bulgaria and to help fund spaying in more areas such as Panama, the USA, and the UK. We also run the Homeless Animals Hospital program allowing free or subsidized veterinary care for animals that would otherwise receive no help. We hope to open Homeless Animals Hospital number 2 in Bucharest if we can generate the funds. Our charity sponsors the intensive training program for Romanian and Bulgarian vets at the Veterinary Training Camp. This training teaches vets a high skill level so that they can return to their communities and do keyhole spay incisions and help reduce the population of abandoned animals. RAR has distributed 16,500 educational book (as of August 2015) at schools, events, an orphanage, and community gatherings in Romania.
