Roosevelt-Custer Regional Council for Development

The Roosevelt-Custer Regional Council for Development is a non-profit, quasi-public organization incorporated under the laws of the State of North Dakota and functions under an IRS 501(c)(3) classification. The R-CRC's service area is an eight-county region in southwestern North Dakota comprising the counties of Adams, Billings, Bowman, Dunn, Golden Valley, Hettinger, Slope and Stark. The Regional Council had its beginnings in 1971 and was fully operational in 1976 with the hiring of a full time executive director and staff. Current staff consists of four seasoned professionals who perform as planners, coordinators, facilitators and project and program administrators. Funding for the Council's operations comes from a variety of sources, to include: federal grants, state contracts, fee for services, grants from foundations and annual support contributions from the member counties. Over the past 36 years, the Regional Council has administered over $18 million in program funds and has leveraged another $48 million in project monies.
