SEND North
Anchorage, Alaska
Our Mission
Our goal is to start churches by saturating the communities of the 60/70 Window with people living intentional, exemplary, Christ-like lives. We are a part of SEND International.
Who We Are
The “60 / 70 window†is that land between the 60 and 70 degree latitude on the North American Continent. This vast and sparsely populated land across Alaska and Northern Canada is home to hundreds of Native and First Nations villages. These villages are filled with people who need to be reconciled with their Creator.
We began in 1936 when pioneer missionaries Vince and Beckie Joy started their work in Copper Center, Alaska. God blessed through the years and birthed numerous churches, a Bible College, medical center, and radio ministries. We joined with the Far Eastern Gospel Crusade in 1971 after Vince Joy's death and the organization's name was changed to SEND International. Each ministry area within SEND International is semi-autonomous. Since our field is in the far northern reaches of North America, we are known as SEND North.
We currently work throughout Alaska and are expanding our reach throughout Northern Canada. Our God sized goal is to spread across into Greenland. Will you join us? Find out more by downloading our free report at http://eepurl.com/5adTb
