Our Mission
We promote the art handicrafts of India using modern and contemporary designs. We buy these products at Fair Trade market value and give back a portion of our net proceeds to the Sitara Foundation, a 501 (c)3 organization that supports indian Artisans and children. It's our way of adding love to each purchase.
Who We Are
The Sitara Collections story starts with a series of trips to India that Linda Singh took with her husband Vinay, beginning in 2007. There she met artisans and small entrepreneurs in rural villages whom she could see worked hard and tirelessly to earn a living. She wanted to help them, and with her background in the beauty industry and in marketing, she felt she could. Linda started Sitara Collections not only to bring beautiful handcrafted items to the global marketplace but also to help empower the artisans and their communities.
Over the years, Sitara Collections has developed partnerships with local artisans based on trust and mutual respect and with the singular goal of bringing their high quality, handcrafted products to a global audience. These are people Linda knows personally, and she is excited to help turn their time-honored traditional craftsmanship of jewelry, clothing, and home goods—each piece distinctive in its ancestral provenance while also managing to capture a contemporary allure we know you will love.
Sitara Collections is committed to honoring its artisans through fair trade practices. By donating a portion of their net proceeds to the Sitara Foundation, which benefits children's education in India, it's their way of adding love and equality to every purchase.
