SPRINGFIELD PARTNERS FOR COMMUNITY ACTION INC

Springfield Partners, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, currently administers 13 programs and gives assistance to about 7,000 people annually. In early 2011, our three Springfield locations were consolidated into one site at 721 State Street, following a major renovation project to the large, 1920s-era building. The agency has about 50 staff members, and its annual budget is generally about $5.8 million. Our service area for most programs is the City of Springfield (population 153,060), although some of our programs, like Weatherization Assistance and Veteran's Program, are available throughout Hampden County. Springfield Partners programs focus on helping low-income families reach economic self-sufficiency, through education, direct assistance, and outreach. Our programs help people obtain assets, like a home, a business or a college education. Maintaining assets is important, too, so we offer home weatherization, foreclosure prevention, and scholarships. We also help people make ends meet by facilitating access to affordable childcare, financial assistance, fuel assistance, income tax filing assistance and many more basic needs.
