THE ANIMAL SHELTER OF TEXAS COUNTY
Houston, Missouri
Our Mission
Saving Abused, Neglected, Unwanted animals in Rural Missouri. We are the largest county in the state of Missouri, approximately the size of Rhode Island.
Who We Are
TASTC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), no-kill organization founded in 2006 and relies solely on the kindness and donations of the public to care for our animals. Basically, we are not state or county funded, which require euthanasia after a certain amount of time. We operate off of public donations, which are tax deductible and go directly to helping the rescued animals at our shelter.
At TASTC we pride ourselves on networking; working with other rescues to provide the best homes for all of our animal guests. Also, we sponsor low cost spay and neuter programs to ensure more unwanted animals are not dumped or abandoned in our county and beyond.
