Our Mission

We are the only day shelter in St. Louis providing meals to our homeless and food-insecure guests 365 days a year. Through contributions from donors, partners, and volunteers, our kitchen serves over 3,000 meals a week.

Who We Are

Our guests consider each other family. The Bridge is their community. We celebrate holidays and birthdays together. We provide volunteer entertainment. We offer arts and crafts. And we lend support in times of sorrow or mourning. Each of these experiences honors the humanity of our guests and provides a sense of belonging on their journey. As we provide day shelter and emergency services, we get to know and understand our guests. When they need services we don't offer, we connect them with partner agencies and organizations that can help them on their path to independence.
