THE EXCHANGE CLUB CENTER FOR PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE OF SOUTHERN CT, INC.

The principal purpose of this organization is to stop the cycle of violence in families in order to treat or prevent child abuse and neglect. In 1979, the National Exchange Club Foundation adopted child abuse treatment and prevention as its national cause. Subsequently Centers were opened throughout the Nation to provide services that would diminish the tragedy of child abuse and neglect by breaking the cycle of violence against children. The Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Stamford, CT is the second Center in the Nation to be opened 25 years ago. The Center's DBA is “The Parenting Skills Center”. The programs at the Center have been piloted; field tested and are considered best practices known for their effectiveness in treating this horrific problem. The Center is AAA accredited nationally by the Exchange Club Foundation for highest achievement and professionalism.
