The Mission of Tree Fresno is to transform the San Joaquin Valley with trees, trails, greenbelts and beautiful landscapes.

Who We Are

Tree Fresno was born in 1985, during Fresno's Centennial, when a group of concerned citizens met to discuss the future of Fresno and how to improve it. All agreed that adding beauty to our city through the planting of trees was viable concern. Their first effort came to fruition in the form of a telethon, which raised $27,000 for trees to be planted in the downtown and Tower District areasâ€”an impressive debut event. Today, more than two decades later, Tree Fresno is responsible for the planting of over 38,000 trees in the Fresno and Clovis areas, and 4,100 trees on Fresno County school campuses.
