Uganda Village Project

Since 2003, Uganda Village Project (UVP) has been working with the people of Iganga to improve health in the rural communities of this marginalized district in southeast Uganda. Our flagship effort is our “Healthy Villages” program, an innovative, grassroots approach to addressing rural healthcare and public health in Uganda. Through the Healthy Villages program, we work at a village level to address the most pressing healthcare concerns of each community, including malaria, HIV, household sanitation and hygiene, and family planning access. We also work with obstetric fistula awareness and repair and provision of clean water through shallow wells.
