Our Mission

Since our beginning in 1993, Vine's work has been based on two maxims. First - in the developing world there is no better platform for expressing God's compassion and the Good News of Christ than by first meeting a need. In short - when you've met a need, you've earned an ear. Second - our mission was not to create new medical projects - they were already there and resources are what they needed. Vine's solution was a simple distribution network, supported by a permanent, in-country, 7500 square-foot facility to receive ocean containers of aid from the US and centrally located near Guatemala City for the 100+ projects to access from all over Guatemala.

Who We Are

Vine procures and collects medical aid throughout the US, Canada, and even overseas, where it's then shipped in 40-foot ocean containers. Some are shipped from Vine's Collection Center near Knoxville, TN. Most, however, never pass through Knoxville, shipping directly to Guatemala from other origination points, primarily in the US. Vine has been blessed with major resource partners like Samaritan's Purse, MAP International, and Joni & Friends, as well as countless smaller aid organizations, hospitals, and medical businesses. Typically, the aid is received in our distribution facility near Guatemala City, and then donated and distributed to over 100 medical projects throughout the country. These include clinics, hospitals, medical workers, medical missionaries, church out-reaches, and orphanages.
