Our Mission
Over the 2014 fiscal year, we distributed 4.2 million pounds of food (equating to 4 million meals) and currently serve over 74,000 individuals annually. The Food Bank runs with over 100 years of combined tenure from 21 employees, of which 9 are program funded.
Who We Are
The WF Area Food Bank, founded in 1982 was grown out of a need to centralize
food procurement and distribution for individuals in need. Thirty three years later,
the Food Bank serves a 12 county area, slightly larger than the state of Massachusetts,
which covers 10,555 square miles!
