Women's Coalition of St Croix

Before WCSC began, there was no place on St. Croix for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to get help focused on the unique challenges they face. Our work began in 1981, with volunteers offering support without judgment to rape victims in crisis. In a short time, they saw the need to expand their crisis intervention to offer assistance to survivors of domestic violence as well. A group of resourceful women were determined to create for a safe space for survivors and to offer a range of supportive services to create opportunities for change and healing. Their vision and actions have shaped the evolution of the Women's Coalition of St. Croix. Today we operate four facilities in support of our mission to end violence and to offer assistance to survivors of crime and families in need in the community. Our services include therapeutic counseling, emergency and transitional housing for survivors of domestic and dating violence, rape and stalking, and other services.
