Our Mission

We envision a world where individuals have the knowledge and agency to improve health outcomes for both themselves and their communities. With this foundation, individuals will be able to work toward other freedoms and capacities. Rooted in the hospital system, Access Health Africa envisions building upon its talent for community programming to improve community-based medical interventions â€“ reaching people where they are.

Who We Are

World Camp initially focused on sending international volunteers to Malawi to educate primary school youth about HIV-prevention. As World Camp grew more established, our vision also grew to address health more broadly. We began to educate about locally-relevant topics such as deforestation and the gender dynamics that helped fuel the spread of HIV. After over a decade of work in Malawi, our reputation enabled us to partner closely with community leaders, addressing health challenges through in-community health interventions, alongside educational initiatives.
