YOUTH WITH A MISSION OF COLORADO

YWAM Cimarron is located in virgin forest at 8,600 ft., on the western slope of the Colorado Rockies. The base is located about midway between two of Colorado's well known ski resorts. Telluride is about 75 miles southwest and Mount Crested Butte can be found about 75 miles northeast. One could not ask for any more dramatic seasons! Because of our altitude, summer daytime temperatures are in the 70s to low 80s with cool nights. Our numerous streams, lakes and trails beckon you for serious hiking or leisurely walks. Fall brings colors galore from mountainsides of aspen trees, while our late-arriving spring is alive with new growth. Winter is a magical time with a serious accumulation of powdery snow. (We really do live in Narnia). Snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, and ice skating are all available. Our nation's newest National Park, The Black Canyon of the Gunnision, is located only about 25 miles from the base.
