Association for Humanitarian Development is promoting sustainable solutions in poor rural communities, AHD innovated no. of solutions in rural communities like 1. safe drinking Nadi filter, 2. FES Cooking stove, 3. Local vegetable production in rural farmers, 4. useful animal breeds and local seeds of the crops, as well as fruit tree plantation on large scale. Since 2007-2008 completed some 38 small and large scale projects with WHO Pakistan, APFED / UNEP Thailand, Misereor Germany, Help Alliance Germany, ADP, CDP, Govt of Sindh, Oxfam GB, ERF UNOCHA, SDPI Islamabad including individual and private organizations, about 33,000 families supported in sectors of Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation, food and shelter, health and medical, education for girls, women skill development, climate change & DRR, low cost shelter and agricultural projects. Safe drinking water and sanitation supported more than 27,000 families with Nadi filter unit in Sindh, Punjab & KPK provinces, safe drinking water Nadi filter also promoted at international level through conferences and workshop in partnership with APFED of UNEP Thailand.
