L.A.C.E.S

L.A.C.E.S

With Christ as our mentor, and sports as our platform, L.A.C.E.S. champions children to become future leaders. We work to create a sustainable, replicable model of community development using sports as a tool to reach at-risk youth and empower their local communities. One of the fundamental principles of the L.A.C.E.S. model relies on the full integration of local community leaders into all aspects of the organization.

Help International

Help International

The mission of HELP International is to empower people to fight global poverty through sustainable, life-changing development programs. Our model facilitates sustainable development programs overseas that impact the lives of both community members with whom we work and HELP volunteers and interns. We strive to ensure that our programs allow the people we work with to become self-sufficient rather than dependent on others to meet their daily needs. HELP International's goal is to provide a contextualized high-impact and sustainable development program, yet able to be carried out in a relatively short period of time. With our diverse teams formed from people of all backgrounds we are able implement a very holistic approach to development using rapid evaluation to ensure community needs are being met. Every project HELP executes is done in collaboration with a local partnership in-country. HELP partnerships include international and domestic NGOs, local governments, schools, hospitals, health clinics, community leaders, and other social entrepreneurs. Our mulit-facited approach to development allows us to facilitate projects catering to a wider range of fields and disciplines . In any given country, HELP International develops , executes, and monitors grass-root projects in areas related to public health promotion, health campaigns and outreaches, medical support, micro-business mentoring, income generating activities, English teaching, teacher trainings, orphanage support, at-risk youth programs, female empowerment, agriculture, etc. Our unique model allows college-aged volunteers, interns, and working young professionals to contribute and catalyze the efforts of local partners on the ground. HELP International aims to assist relatively inexperienced and mostly academically trained participants to become social entrepreneurs who understand the complexities of poverty. Our social entrepreneurs have gone on to be a force of change in everything from the non-profit sector, to public office, the armed forces and even the corporate world.

Adirondack Council, Inc.

Adirondack Council, Inc.

Since its founding forty years ago in 1975, the Adirondack Council has been the leading advocate for protecting New York State’s six-million-acre Adirondack Park. Created in 1892 as a unique six-million-acre patchwork of both publicly and privately owned lands, the Adirondack Park is the largest park in the contiguous United States. By State Constitution, the public portions are protected as "Forever Wild" Adirondack Forest Preserve. The Adirondack Council, using the best science, works to protect and build a better Adirondack Park with wild character and vibrant communities. We defend wilderness, support community sustainability, fight for clean air and water, combat invasive species and climate change, and advocate for private land stewardship and working farms and forests.
