Family Empowerment Centers
Family Empowerment Centers exists to glorify God and love our neighbors by strengthening young urban families in Christ as we create real opportunities of empowerment and care for the needs of those facing greater challenges in urban America. It is our conviction that all people, from every nation of the world are of equal value and concern before God. It is also our conviction that although mankind is of equal value before God, often times the opportunities for empowerment and freedom are selective due to issues of systemic and personal injustices. Family Empowerment Centers will seek to bring a balance to these circumstances by loving our neighbors in a Christ like manner and creating opportunities for those who are disadvantaged in our urban communities to attain empowerment and freedom. It is also our conviction that real empowerment, freedom and wholistic growth has its foundation in an individuals experience of the love of Christ, through His body the church, and the truths found in the Scriptures. Family Empowerment Centers recognizes mankind as spiritual, physical, psychological and social beings. By coming along side individuals in a wholistic and Christ like fashion we expect these individuals to have maximized opportunities of empowerment and a greater hope in the future. The element of Christian faith in what we do, how we do it in creating opportunities of empowerment, and who we do it for is what sets our organization apart from others. Family Empowerment Centers has chosen to target urban communities on the basis that these communities tend to include people from all of the nations of the world and at the same time seems to be the epicenter for injustice, inequality, and issues of poverty. In the same manner that trends move out from major metropolitan cities our organization believes that as people are empowered they too may move out from urban communities to various world destinations creating change in their environments. Family Empowerment Centers also recognizes that the family unit is the most influential determinant in the growth of the individual. Great attention will be given to the growth of the whole family when possible. Our organization defines family as a multi-individual group of people, often times made up of a father, mother, and child, but not limited to those roles in which the group bears the relational characteristics of a family. Therefore the family could be traditional in nature, be a single parent home, be a home with no children, be a home where a significant other (i.e. grandmother, aunt, uncle) is raising the children, or a foster home situation.

THE LIFE LINK
In the beginning, the intention was simple – get homeless families back on their feet. It took a split-second to recognize that many of these families had substance abuse problems, and then another second to recognize there may be mental health concerns. Those few seconds defined the direction of The Life Link. Our programs primarily focus on housing, mental health, and substance abuse. We provide help to people that are in need of one service and any combination of the three.

Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, Inc.
In 1912 Theodore Roosevelt said, “There can be no greater issue than that of conservation in this country.” While in the political arena, he succeeded in making conservation a top tier national issue. T.R. had the foresight to address these issues still so significant to sportsmen today, understanding that if we want to ensure critical habitat, special hunting grounds and secret fishing holes will be around for future generations, we must plan carefully today.

Peacebuilding Solutions Ltd.
Peacebuilding Solutions operates with a simple, yet revolutionary, humanitarian aid model. Put simply, we let the needs of the community dictate how we deliver aid. This means acting in a way so as to empower in the long-term the communities we serve rather than add to the cycle of dependence by focusing on short-term, contract projects. At PS, we feel that those who do not attempt to make themselves a part of the community they wish to serve will never fully understand the needs of the community, nor gain the trust of those in need.
